The following hardwired control options are available for the AquaController product line.
Direct Connect 8 (DC8)
The Direct Connect 8 modules features 8 solid-state controlled outlets each capable of switching 120V at 6 Amps. The DC8 enables a very
reliable hardwired connection between the AquaController and all controlled devices - X10 interference problems caused by noisey electronic
ballasts (i.e. Blueline) are eliminated. NOTE: This module is suitable for use on ICECAP™ ballasts.
8 120V Outlets (Max 6 Amps, total current must be less than 15 Amps).
Compact custom aluminum enclosure (8.8" x 3.35" x 1.6").
High reliability direct wired connection to the AquaController (does not use X10).
Can be used with electronic ballasts which cause X10 interference.
Completely Silent Operation - uses solid state relays.
"Soft-Start" for reduced pump wear.
Up to 5 DC8s can be daisy chained together for up to 40 switched outlets.
All 8 outlets independently controllable.
Control Interface (IM513) can be last device in chain (Simultaneous X10 and hardwired control)
Fuse Protected
4 Mounting Holes for easy installation
Recommended for use with ICECAP™ ballasts
Direct Connect 4 Heavy Duty (DC4HD)
The Direct Connect 4 modules features 4 relay controlled outlets each capable of switching 120V at 12 Amps. The DC4 enables a very
reliable hardwired connection between the AquaController and all controlled devices - X10 interference problems caused by noisey electronic
ballasts (i.e. Blueline) are eliminated. NOTE: This module is suitable for use on ICECAP™ ballasts; it utilizes large relays which can withstand
the high inrush currents on these ballasts.
4 120V Outlets (Max 12 Amps, total current must be less than 15 Amps).
High reliability direct wired connection to the AquaController (does not use X10).
Can be used with electronic ballasts which cause X10 interference.
Up to 10 DC4s can be daisy chained together for up to 40 switched outlets.
All 4 outlets independently controllable.
Fuse Protected
Control Interface (IM513) can be last device in chain (Simultaneous X10 and hardwired control)
4 Mounting Holes for easy installation. (5.8" x 4.6" x 2.4")
Recommended for use with ICECAP™ ballasts
Direct Connect 4 (DC4)
The Direct Connect 4 modules features 4 relay controlled outlets each capable of switching 120V at 8 Amps. The DC4 enables a very reliable
hardwired connection between the AquaController and all controlled devices - X10 interference problems caused by noisey electronic ballasts
(i.e. Blueline) are eliminated. NOTE: Due to the high inrush current (greater than 40 Amps) on ICECAP ballasts, we do not recommend that
you use this module to control these ballasts. Use the DC4HD instead.
4 120V Outlets (Max 8 Amps, total current must be less than 10 Amps).
High reliability direct wired connection to the AquaController (does not use X10).
Can be used with electronic ballasts which cause X10 interference.
Up to 10 DC4s can be daisy chained together for up to 40 switched outlets.
All 4 outlets independently controllable.
Control Interface (IM513) can be last device in chain (Simultaneous X10 and hardwired control)
Fuse Protected
4 Mounting Holes for easy installation. (5.8" x 4.6" x 2.4")
Not recommended for use with ICECAP™ ballasts
Socket Expansion 120V (SOCKEXP)
The Socket Expansion box is a small power strip with controllable 2 outlets used to reduce the power load on a direct connect (DC) box. Since
power is supplied from a different circuit, the Direct Connect box's power budget is not affected. Features of the Socket Expansion box include:
Dual outlets so two devices can be controlled by the same channel (outlets not independently controllable).
High reliability direct wired control connection to Direct Connect outlet.
It can switch high power (up to 15 Amps) 120V loads.
The internal relay has negligible power consumption so it does not affect the power budget of the Direct Connect box
2 Mounting Holes for easy installation.
Note: The socket expansion does not work standalone; it must be plugged into a direct connect box's outlet.
Lunar Simulator(LUNARSIM)
The Lunar Simulator (LS) allows the AquaController to control and vary the intensity to a 2 to 5 LED module
for a realistic moon cycle simulation. The moonrise and set times follow the true lunar cycle. Features of the Lunar Simulator include:
High intensity LEDs with a wide angle lense (100+ degrees) to provide the best
possible coverage.
High reliability direct wired control connection to the AquaController.
User configurable maximum LED intensity.
User configurable control address.
The AquaController dims the LEDs in phase with the true lunar cycle.
Can be purchased with 2 to 5 LEDs.
2 Mounting Holes on Lunar Simulator and LED modules for easy installation.
Variable Speed Pump Module(AquaSurf)
The AquaSurf allows the AquaController to control any of the variable speed stream pumps which are compatible with the Tunze 7095
controller. Features of AquaSurf include:
Works with any of the Tunze Stream pumps that are compatible with the Tunze 7095 controller
4 independent channels for control of 4 pumps.
Independent variable speed control on all channels.
Resonate mode used to generate waves (with or without a wave box).
Precise on/off period configuration.
Mode of operation can be changed throughout the day.
Uses nhanced AquaController programming language.
Periodic pulse mode to keep fish out of the stream pump.
Works w/ AC3, AC3Pro, and ACJr.
2 Mounting Holes for easy installation.
